Bridge Commander Central?

Post by Hunt » Sat Nov 16, 2013 7:16 am

Anyone know what's going on with the BCC forums? The site's been down over a week now, all I'm getting is a blank page with the text but none of the formatting, pics or frames, any time I click on a link I get an error page.

I've been getting an error page from iPage, which I presume are the hosting company that Viper or whoever runs BCC uses. There are similar issues with the ST Excalibur site, so in an official line from Sovvy himself, I've got this (off BCS-TNG)

This is for people coming here hoping for news regarding BCC. I'm sorry but at this time I have no information as to what's going on.

11.11.2013 Update
Excalibur
Exalibur is as well down but this is due to the domain expiring and it just needs to be renewed which should happen hopefully soon. If you check the expiration dates for the domain you will see that it has expired yesterday on 10th of November. This is between the host and the account owner.

BCC
I wish I could say the same for BCC, if you check the dates you will see that the domain expiration date is somewhere in April 2014. So the reason why the site is down is due to other reasons, unfortunately only Viper can answer this question as he is the account owner and this can only be resolved by contacting the host. For the time being I can only speculate, however one of the reasons could be that BCC has simply exceeded hosts resource "fair usage" policy.

In the meantime please feel free to use this site as a base of operations until we get to the bottom of this.

13.11.2013 Update
Excalibur
Excalibur is online on this link. Dot com domain is still not up, I don't have first hand information however from what I can recall Excalibur is also hosted by Viper so this could mean that until Viper intervenes dot com domain might not be operational.

BCC
No updates, Viper is still MIA.

For now, the boys at BCS-TNG are standing by to take over from BCC. We've definately got the space, and most people are registered there.

BC-Central seems to be down again. Worse is that BCS-TNG is now offline. I have a feeling that 9th may be the backups for all the people.

Yup, got a line from JimmyB76
it isnt viper - it is the guy who has the domain we're all waiting on to get transferred over... he goes by "explorer" here... i have sent him msgs here as well on facebook to no reply...
maybe if he gets many other msgs from other people, he'll respond... but from what i understand, he holds the domain and there is nothing we can do without him... i do hope he'll get back soon, it all is on him...
Looks like we're waiting on the domain holder as far as we all know.

BCC is Bridge Commander Central. It's the main forum for the modding community of the game Star Trek: Bridge Commander. The domain has been expired for about a month.
